Who We Are

Bahraini Budget Manager (BBM) is operated by Pearlverie Studios, a Bahrain-registered software business. BBM helps users record budget categories, budget entries, savings, and investment planning preferences.

Data We Collect

We collect account and app data that users provide or generate while using BBM, including name, email address, phone number, date of birth, gender, language preference, verification status, budget categories, budget entries, recurrence settings, backup records, import metadata, and security preferences.

We do not know your account password and we do not store it in a readable form. Account passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication, and BBM staff cannot view them.

How We Use Data

We use data to authenticate users, send verification emails or OTPs, sync budget records, calculate monthly inflows, outflows, and net savings, generate backups, import entries, and provide account security features.

Until Payday Estimates

Until Payday uses information you confirm, rather than a bank connection. The free current-cycle estimate is calculated on your device from the opening balance, protected reserve, expected income, dated commitments, and optional one-purchase what-if that you enter. A signed-in user may save one input draft on the device for that account.

When an entitled BBM Plus user requests a forecast, BBM sends only the confirmed numeric amounts, dates, cash-flow directions, recurrence rules, and opaque schedule identifiers needed for the calculation to the BBM Firebase backend. Merchant labels, categories, notes, bank credentials, and other budget records are not included. The calculation is ephemeral: the calculator does not persist the request or result, and it does not send them to a third-party AI service.

Saved Until Payday drafts and up to three saved scenario inputs remain on the device and are separated by signed-in account. Forecast results are not saved. BBM custom Analytics events never include Until Payday amounts, balances, dates, schedule identifiers or counts, risk or shortfall dates, scenario contents, or forecast results; if Analytics is enabled, BBM records only categorical feature-use outcomes.

Payments and Subscriptions

Apple App Store and Google Play process purchases made in their stores. BBM may receive the store product, price and currency, transaction reference, renewal or expiry status, refund or revocation status, and a privacy-preserving account-linking reference needed to verify BBM Plus access. BBM does not receive or store your full store payment-card details.

Web checkout is not currently enabled while merchant approval and production setup are pending. If it is later enabled, Tap Payments and its acquiring or payment partners may process the selected plan, amount and currency, customer name, email address and phone number, BBM account or customer reference, order and provider transaction references, payment/refund status, and limited technical data needed to prevent fraud and complete the payment. The payment provider, not BBM, handles raw card or Benefit credentials. BBM does not store full card numbers or card security codes. If provider-approved recurring billing is later offered, BBM may retain only the provider's tokenized payment reference and subscription status needed to manage the plan.

Optional Analytics

Analytics is off until you opt in. If you allow it, Firebase Analytics may collect screens and feature outcomes, a random app-instance ID, device and app metadata, session metadata, approximate location, and your Firebase account UID when signed in. On mobile, Firebase may also automatically collect BBM subscription product, price, and currency data supplied by the app store. BBM custom analytics events do not include personal record names, personal budget or transaction amounts, email address, phone number, date of birth, or receipt and upload contents. BBM does not manually send purchase or revenue events.

Service Providers

BBM uses Firebase services for authentication, cloud storage, App Check, cloud functions, and optional Analytics. Email, SMS, and WhatsApp providers may process contact details only to deliver verification or account messages. Apple and Google process their store purchases. Tap Payments will process web-payment data only if web checkout is approved and enabled.

Security

User data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. We use account-based access controls for cloud data. Users can also keep some app data local when sync is disabled where the app makes that option available.

When biometric login is enabled, the credential needed for biometric sign-in is stored only on your device using the device's encrypted secure storage, such as iOS Keychain or Android Keystore-backed storage. It is not visible to BBM staff and is not stored in our database in plain text.

Sharing and Sale of Data

We do not sell user data. We share data only with service providers needed to operate BBM, comply with legal requirements, protect users, or resolve security and account issues.

Retention

We keep user data while an account is active or while needed to provide BBM services. Some logs, backups, security records, payment or order records, and legal records may remain for a reasonable period where required for security, compliance, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling, or troubleshooting. Payment providers and app stores retain their records under their own policies and legal duties.

Your Choices

Users can opt in to or disable Analytics, update profile data, change language, request email verification, manage backups, import data, clear financial entries, or delete their account from Settings. Apple and Google subscriptions are managed through the relevant store account. If an automatically renewing web plan is later enabled, its BBM account controls will provide the cancellation path. Deleting a BBM account does not itself cancel an Apple or Google subscription, and it does not require a payment provider or store to erase records that it must keep. Users can also request deletion using the links below.

BBM is designed with Bahrain Personal Data Protection Law principles in mind, including purpose limitation, security, and user control over personal data where applicable.
