Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Bahraini Budget Manager collects, uses, protects, and deletes user data.
Who We Are
Bahraini Budget Manager (BBM) helps users record budget categories, budget entries, savings, and investment planning preferences.
Data We Collect
We collect account and app data that users provide or generate while using BBM, including name, email address, phone number, date of birth, gender, language preference, verification status, budget categories, budget entries, recurrence settings, backup records, import metadata, and security preferences.
We do not know your account password and we do not store it in a readable form. Account passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication, and BBM staff cannot view them.
How We Use Data
We use data to authenticate users, send verification emails or OTPs, sync budget records, calculate monthly inflows, outflows, and net savings, generate backups, import entries, and provide account security features.
Service Providers
BBM uses Firebase services for authentication, cloud storage, App Check, and cloud functions. Email, SMS, and WhatsApp providers may process contact details only to deliver verification or account messages.
Security
User data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. We use account-based access controls for cloud data. Users can also keep some app data local when sync is disabled where the app makes that option available.
When biometric login is enabled, the credential needed for biometric sign-in is stored only on your device using the device's encrypted secure storage, such as iOS Keychain or Android Keystore-backed storage. It is not visible to BBM staff and is not stored in our database in plain text.
Sharing and Sale of Data
We do not sell user data. We share data only with service providers needed to operate BBM, comply with legal requirements, protect users, or resolve security and account issues.
Retention
We keep user data while an account is active or while needed to provide BBM services. Some logs, backups, security records, or legal records may remain for a reasonable period where required for security, compliance, fraud prevention, or troubleshooting.
Your Choices
Users can update profile data, change language, request email verification, manage backups, import data, clear financial entries, or delete their account from Settings. Users can also request deletion using the links below.
